The program will open with “Première Ouverture a Grand Orchestre’ by Louise Farrenc, followed by Lili Boulanger’s “Vieille prière bouddhique” and Psalm 129. While the first half of the program features two French female composers, the second half of the program is centered on “Te Deum” by German composer Anton Bruckner, with alumna Amanda Batista, who made her debut at The Metropolitan Opera earlier this year in Aida, in the solo soprano part.
